What this service covers
A roof only does half the job. The other half is moving rainwater and snowmelt off the roof, away from the siding, and clear of the foundation. We handle the full water-management envelope along your roofline:
- Seamless gutters — custom-formed on-site to the exact length of each run, so there are no mid-run seams to leak.
- Downspouts and extensions — sized and placed to actually carry Inland NW volume, then routed away from the foundation.
- Soffit — the underside of your eaves, which also feeds critical attic intake ventilation.
- Fascia — the board the gutters hang from; if it's soft or rotted, no gutter will stay put.
We work on both new installs and tear-out-and-replace jobs, for homes and commercial buildings alike.
Why gutters matter so much here
The Inland Northwest is hard on drainage. Hot, dry summers bake debris into clogs, then heavy winter snow loads and repeated freeze-thaw cycles turn standing water into ice. When meltwater can't drain, it backs up under the shingles and forms ice dams that push water into the attic and walls.
Failing soffit and fascia make it worse. Rotted fascia lets gutters sag and pull free under snow weight, and blocked or damaged soffit chokes the attic ventilation that keeps your roof deck cold and dam-free. Fixing the roof without fixing this system just hides the problem.
Materials and options
We match materials to your home, your budget, and the way our climate behaves:
- Aluminum seamless gutters — the workhorse choice: rust-proof, lightweight, and available in 5-inch and oversized 6-inch K-style profiles for heavy-runoff roofs.
- Gutter guards / leaf protection — keep pine needles and debris out so water flows and ice has less to grab.
- Vented and solid soffit — vented panels restore proper attic intake airflow; solid panels close in exposed eaves.
- Wrapped or new fascia — we replace rotted wood and can cap fascia in aluminum for a low-maintenance, weather-tight finish.
Color-matched to your roof and trim so the whole roofline looks intentional, not patched.
Our process
We keep it straightforward and on-schedule:
- Free on-site assessment — we inspect your existing gutters, check fascia for rot, and look at how water is actually moving (and where it's failing).
- On-site fabrication — seamless gutters are roll-formed to length right at your home for a precise, leak-resistant fit.
- Repair before install — any soft or damaged fascia and soffit gets replaced first, so your new gutters hang on solid wood.
- Proper pitch and placement — we set slope and downspout locations to move water away from the foundation, then clean up completely.

Part of a complete roof system
Gutters, soffit, and fascia work best when they're integrated with the roof above them, not bolted on as an afterthought. With every full roof replacement, DG Contracting includes 150 feet of FREE gutters and downspouts — because a new roof deserves a drainage system that can keep up.
If you're already seeing ice dams, sagging gutters, or stains on your eaves, those are often the first visible signs of a roof or ventilation issue worth a closer look.
